Winter Chill Alert: Brace for Snowfall in Parts of England Within 24 Hours!
Snow is expected in parts of England within the next 24 hours, following a drop in temperatures, according to forecasters. An amber cold-health alert has been issued for certain regions, including the North West of England, West Midlands, East Midlands, and South West of England, lasting until Friday. The Met Office has also issued a yellow warning effective from 4 am on Monday, indicating the likelihood of ice and snow affecting roads and train services in Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, and West Sussex. Meanwhile, a yellow cold-health alert remains in place for the North East of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, East of England, South East of England, and London for much of the upcoming week. The warnings come as the country grapples with the aftermath of Storm Henk, which resulted in widespread flooding and two fatalities. Over 170 flood warnings are still in effect. The Met Office predicts near-zero temperatures in the early hours of Monday, with a mix of sleet and snow showers expected.
